Year in Review: Farewell 2019!

As the year, and the decade, comes to a close I want to take a look back at some of the highlights of the year and talk about some goals I would like to achieve in 2020. To start, I want to say that the best moment of 2019 by leaps and bounds was finding out that my beautiful fiancée was pregnant. It was a huge surprise as we were planning out our wedding, which was originally scheduled for April 2020. Now we are expecting a baby boy next March and we already can’t wait to meet him.

The next memorable moment is when I was finally able to graduate with my Bachelor’s degree. I was so relieved to achieve this milestone especially since it had taken me so long to accomplish. However I am still grateful for the experience gained through the journey, for without it I might not be where I am today. Although I may not have a career in the field I studied for, I am still fortunate to have a good job where I was able to get a promotion this year. With 2020 on the horizon, I do hope to land a good job in the field of IT.

Finally, I am happy that I was able to get my own website where I can post about things that I’m interested in as well as things that are going on in my personal life and move away from sharing on different social media platforms. I definitely recommend everyone get their own personal slice of the internet if they have the means to do so, I am able to help if anything.

Looking towards 2020 and beyond my main goal is to be debt free with my credit cards, since younger me was very irresponsible with their spending this decade. With that said, I have made considerable progress because I have changed the way I think about money. This is thanks to the finance class I took in university which then led me to listen to a podcast that talks about being smart with money.

Reducing my debt will pave the way to my other goal of becoming a homeowner which I hope to accomplish within the next 5 years but I definitely won’t rush into anything if that is not the case.

2019 has been a great year for me overall and I am definitely looking forward to 2020 and beyond. To wrap things up, I have included some stats below because I like doing nerdy things like that.
